Perseverance Book Review

Cancer is such a scary word. To be able to have lived through it is such a triumph! In Carolyn Rubenstein's book Perseverance: True Voices of Cancer Survivors, Carolyn shares with us 20 stories of young people who survived cancer. What is even more amazing is how much Carolyn has accomplished for cancer patients and survivors. She was six when she visited a camp for cancer patients and at the age of 14 started her own non-profit organization for cancer survivors to provide scholarships and support for survivors wanting to attend college. She is 24 and already has her BA in Psychology. Wow! I wish I was that productive and charitable! This is an amazing and inspiring book that would be great for anyone who likes happy endings.
